A group of 5 of us popped in here for dinner before going to the a game at Eden Park. The meals were nice with only good things said about the food.Unfortunately the service was lacking. We had to ask for everything. Once we found a staff member who wanted to talk to us we had to ask for a table in the half empty restaurant. Then after sitting at the table for a while we had to wave done a waitress to get given the menus. By the time the finally decided to take our orders we had given up on the idea of entrees as we only had time for mains. At this stage we realised that we had to ask for water at the table and hope the food was going to be delivered in time to enjoy before the game. As we finished our meals I watched another table go up to the bar to order their food after they had sat waiting for a staff member to return to them. The poor service cost them at least a round of drinks and several entrees from our table. The two stars is for the food.
