Came in for dinner yesterday night.Steamed buns were an amazing match with the meat. The sauce went soaked into the buns and gave it flavour while the bun was able to make the meat taste less salty. The soup was filled with lots of flavour, the meatballs were soft and chewy. The Bok choy and mushrooms were also soft and flavourful. Chicken was not that spicy. The owner shouted us to glutinous sesame rice balls after dinner. Would definitely go again.

I came here with my family and we got a bunch of different dishes. We got three vegan dishes (fake meat with vegetables, tofu hot pot and bok choi) along with a meat dish and wontons for my family. We also got vegan buns and radish slice. The vegan dishes are extremely generous in size and the meat dish had so much meat. The vegan dishes were all tasty and fresh and they came out really fast. However this place is not as cheap as the normal dominion road Chinese restaurants.

Came here for a family dinner on a Thursday night for some authentic Shanghainese food. We had some vegetarian guests so we ordered quite a few dishes for them. Between 9 people we ordered Stir fried shredded pork with vegetables, Silver piece shrimp, Tsing Yi (fish), Sauted shredded potato & green beans, Sauted green vegetables with bamboo shoots, Griddle cooked tofu, Stir fried eggs and luffa, and a specially made soup in a pot which contained seafood, vegetables, and eggs. And of course rice. Each dish has its own distinct Chinese flavor and some of the dishes were light in flavors such as the stir fried eggs & luffa and sauted green vegetables with bamboo shoots. The meat dishes such as the stir fried shredded pork was spicy and oily, but goes well with the rice. The sauted potato and beans was actually pretty good as it had a coating of sweet and salty syrup. The specialty dish was the silver piece shrimp, my favorite, as it had a mixture of sweet and Chinese cooking wine flavor. The shrimps are deep fried to the point where the shells became puffy & crunchy and a little separated from the meat.It got busy really quickly at around 6-7pm as it was still during the New Years time so the service wasnt at its best but its understandable. We got the private room upstairs as well because it was really noisy downstairs. The price came down to around $200 which is reasonable for 8 dishes. This is an authentic Shanghainese restaurant with the level of service youd expect from a Chinese restaurant. The three of us had the braised duck, fish with rice wine sauce, ricecake with veggies, Shanghai steamed buns and egg dumplings soup. All of them had generous portions and were quite tasty. We will be back to try other dishes.Update: weve been back, tried new dishes and they were all great! The steamed pork with pancake was the highlight, well done!

Very average food, service is awful and slow, waited 20minutes between each dish arriving at the table – manager just wants to fight if you question the bill. Recommend you avoid….

I am from Shanghai, the food is authentic and delicious. I come to this restaurant at least twice weekly. My favourites include the crystal prawns, white fish slices in wine sauce, lamb with coriander. There are so many wonderful selections.Lots of Shanghai dim sum, little dragon bao, Shanghai wonton with pork and vegetables.
