Fairly standard bakery but great sandwiches & pies, have yet to try their sweet food yet. Friendly enough staff & always clean and tidy. Worth a visit if youre passing by.
Wanted a little something on the way home this morning. This place is clean, has an A rating and offers your standard bakery fare. Sandwiches/rolls, donuts/slices/bikkies, breads and a pie pastry cabinet. I just got a Ham and Cheese Bun (delicious, ate on the way home and forgot to take a picture), a Chicken/Avo sandwich and some little bikkies. Chicken/Avo sandwich was a bit dry, cookies were bland which was a bit of a bummer. I was after a bit of sweetness. I would come back here though, food is reasonably priced and matches the quality.
Hollywood cafes are always good value, can always find something good and cheap and they do good ice chocolate.I’m a fan of their pies, and little cake treats, and free muffins.They also do nice all-day breakfasts and satay chicken. Can get quite busy at lunch hour. I find the bigger ones have more variety. In general I find the staff are friendly and efficient that makes a big difference compared to other cafes where the staff are snobby or don’t know the meaning of customer service.
The quality and variety of food here is excellent. I particularly like their Lumberjack Cake!!I’ve had many a superb decaf in the Hollywood Bakeries and the staff are always pleasant and friendly.Hollywood is a serve-yourself cafe with a very wide selection of sweets and savouries at a good price.
