Had a great time here with my family – staff were friendly and food was good – we will be back.My daughter-in-law had the fish and chips. She rated it twice as good (and half the price) for the same thing she had eaten at SAILS near the Harbour Bridge a few weeks earler.
Its a tough one with hotel restaurants because sometimes you don’t have a choice but to eat there. You do in Henderson because this place is so close to a raft of other eateries, mostly fast foods.Icon is connected to the Quality Hotel where I have been locked away a few times for work, but I have tended to just wander up the road looking for something to eat, so was a change to actually sit down at the restaurant to eat.It is nice looking inside, not overly flash, but nice enough. The staff were really lovely throughout as well. The room is well lit and it was, at least on my visit, nice and quiet!Instead of opting for a starter and main or just main, I ordered the scallops and pork belly starters as my meal for the evening. The scallops were beautifully cooked and absolutely loved them, the pork belly too was lovely but the side condiments didn’t appeal to me much at all unfortunately. They looked okay on paper, but the flavours didnt gel well with me once I tried them.Still, if I have to go back for work again, I think I will happily sit down at Icon again for a meal.
Have generally been pleased with this spot the several times we have been. The steaks are cooked as to our request. Service is good. Worth a visit for a family/bistro type dining experience with just a little bit of flare.
It’s a bit hit and miss with this restaurant. I have dined here several times, some nights the food is great and some nights like tonight it is definitely below par. Staff are normally pretty good although I was given red wine when I asked for white tonight and my son did not get his drink, we had to ask for it. Always seems to be pretty empty these days too. Used to love coming here, now not so much which is unfortunate
Great service, great food and value for money. Will be back. The lamb dish was particularly excellent, melt in the mouth and chocolate lava cake dessert was superb. Keep up the good work.
Sunday night, and didn’t feel like cooking at all, so my family and I went to Icon Restaurant for dinner. First thing I noticed, was the smiling and friendly faces of all the wait staff.We were promptly seated, and drinks arrived in a great timely manner.We ordered our meal, and OMG, it was amazing.Priced well, cooked to perfection, and again, the waitstaff were just fantastic.A great venue with great food and staff.
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal with girlfriend at Icon Restaurant. Never fail to deliver. Just not sure if they have a kids menu, cos would be best place to go to for nice catchup n quality food n clean place, nice ambience, polite n warm waitresses…
