A couple hiccups with the wait staff, but the food was brought out piping hot and we didn’t have to wait long. Considering they haven’t been open very long I was impressed. We started with the bruschetta which was fresh and very good.My wife had the seafood chowder, a generous helping of seafood but it was a little too creamy for her, which is a common occurrence and not the restaurants fault.I ordered the steak, with peppercorn sauce. Juicy, hot and full of taste. Served with hot chips, salad and eggs. This is why I’m rating so highly. I haven’t had a steak this good in a long time.This is a great addition to Torbay and we will be going again.
Everyone has said for decades a tavern in Torbay would be great, and it might be. But not like this. Looking past the spelling mistake on the frontage sign the first day, and the countless on the menu it didn’t get any better. And we left it until well after teething issues. Service was terrible, waited nearly an hour to be asked for our food order (we waited until they were ready as a test). For drinks we had to go to the bar to order. And it wasn’t that busy, tables weren’t cleared until be seating arrived. Then the food. I’m all for a bit of fusion, but things like Thai curry sauce with bacon and scallops should never happen. If it was needed, a gastro bar would have done. Somewhere for a drink and probably food, not the opposite.

Enjoyed an amazing meal with family. Our order consisted of steak, ribs, fish & chips, pizza and nachos with topping. Steak was cooked to perfection along with everything else. Awesome chefs. Food was perfect and staff were welcoming. We will definitely visit again. Thank you.
