Ordered a snapper fish burger combo (chips and drink) with added hotdog and scallops. I must say I was quite pleased. Fish and scallops were fresh and tasty and the batter was pleasant. Hotdog will be a hit with the kids and chips were average. I will be back for the fresh fish and scollops definitely.
definitely the best fish and chips I have tried in South Auckland.The snapper was great, definitely fresh with a light crispy batter. It looks like they batter their own mussels too, which were also delicious. The chips were pretty good. Not soggy or oily and were cooked through. My DH was pretty happy with the squid rings, but they came crumbed, so I think they order them in and cook from frozen. The potato fritter was horrible. It was definitely bought in, and one of those over processed ones, that goes from mash to paste formed into a circle and coated in cheap thick batter.I did a phone order, it was ready quickly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, and asked if mine was the phone order. The person also reminded me the combo came with a drink and to make sure I grabbed it.2 people happily fed for $15. We’ll definitely be back, and I don’t think I’d even bother trying another fish and chip shop in the area.They probably would have gotten 5 stars if they did their own potato fritter and squid rings.
Really lovely Snapper Burger and Chips, batter on fish light, not greasy at all , and chips great.Highly recommend. Will be back again. Lovely local fish shop with fresh fish. Great prices too.
This a normal fish shop which sells fish and chips too. The fish is actually really nice. The guy served me snapper which tasted $35 worth. The batter was light and crunchy and did not over power the fish itself. Fish was fresh and tasted really nice too. First time i ate fish and chips here and would not be the last. Buy my fish here regularly too. Guy and his goods are worth the money.
A good place to eat. The food is good and the service friendly. My wife and I go there often with no complaints.
This is the best fish and chip shop i have been to hands down. it is a little more expensive but worth it , fish is awesome and chips are great – seasoned with salt and pepper. hot dogs are also very good and well priced at 1.60. would recommend to all.
We stopped here on Friday 11 May to purchase fish and chips as a takeaway. Attracted by the sandwich board advertising we decided to add half a dozen fried Bluff oysters @ $2.00 each to our order (of snapper, chips and mussels). At home we found that the oysters were most likely Pacific oysters given their small size (less than size of a $2.00 coin without the batter) and the lack of the distinctive Bluff oyster taste.
