First of all, its a hidden gem located in blockhouse bay. Its a got a very limited menu but the food is amazing. The people are extremely nice and very warm with their customers.Seating: Its 15 people seating capacity with good parking options. Small and nice placeFood: the main important part is the food. Menu is limited but crisp. Their speciality is Khaman. try their New Khaman with ginger and garlic. Its simply delicious. Also their Pau Bhaji. Its masala pau with bhaji with butter on the top. They gave three buns of that with onions. If you have deep fried stuff then try their Puri Bhaji. 5 small puris with smashed potato curry with spices and chilies served with yogurt, salad and papadum.Price: its quite reasonable and pocket friendly.People: People are nice with warm welcome and make sure you enjoyed your food. Do visit the place for sure

Excellent homely food and friendly services, worth visiting with families. Easy on the wallet and parking is plenty. If you’re after some authentic gujju food, this place is a must visit.

I don’t give out 5 star reviews but this restaurant has the best tasting gujarati and Mumbai snacks in Auckland.A pure vegetarian restaurant with many sumptuous dishes. The dahi puri, pav bhaji and sev khamni are stand out dishes.Yes the interior is dated and not enticing but hygiene and food standards have always been rated high. It is a must visit if you are in the area.

This review is only for the Pav Bhaji .. as that is the only thing we always order from here. And its really good. Tastes and feels home cooked which is what we like about it. The quantity is also more than enough. The people here are good and friendly! Thinking of trying Khaman and other dishes from the menu next time

If you’re looking for simple, home style Indian cooking then this place is perfect. No creamy curries, no naan breads just homely cooking at very reasonable prices. I’ve been here many times and the food is always good. They have a few tables and very basic ambience but I would suggest eating in rather than takeaway as most dishes they offer are meant to be enjoyed as soon as they’re made rather than taking it home and having later. The menu is what you would find as street food in most of western India. It’s well balanced, mildly spiced but bursting with flavour. The pav bhaji is a must, buttery tangy goodness. It’s a mashed vegetable thick curry meant to be topped with raw onions and squeeze of lime with soft bread(pav) that’s been fried off in butter to mop up the bhaji. The chat food- samosa chaat, dahi puri, sev puri are pretty good as well. As is the sev khamani. It’s a very unique dish and a personal favourite. Once while dining in, the owner mentioned that they were making fresh fafda and asked if we wanted to try it. It was great. Long shards of spiced chickpea flour deep fried and served with green chillies, a tangy dipping sauce and some sort of salad. In India it’s generally a raw papaya salad and this one tastes exactly like that! Oh and the mango lassi is delish. Thick, sweet and comes with a few cashew nuts on top. Visit this place if you’re looking to expand your tastebuds for Indian food beyond the butter chickens and tikka masalas. You will not be disappointed.
