Ordered a Large Pork Roast + some Pork crackling. This choice was only due to the place not having any lamb available. The place was nice & tidy. Service was quick & efficient. Portion size was generous & price was a couple dollars cheaper than some other places.Pork crackling received was a mixture. A couple of the pieces were nice but there were also a couple of pieces which was soft, chewy & dripping with fat which was disappointing.The roast meal was ok. The pork meat was dry, even the gravy couldnt save it. Pumpkin was nice, kumara slightly undercooked & the potatoes were soggy.Overall average meal at best. Wouldnt come back.
Lack of passion in this food 🙁 Beef roll = no butter/dry roll, sparse salad, a wee drizzle of gravy ( i think) thankfully the Beef was soft no seasoning very bland such a shame too just before closing #loaditup! Wont buy again
Been there twice both times food is crap the roast beef is waterlogged there was no kumara potatoes were cold pumpkin was rawe, as for the gravy tasted more like used dish washing water
The Bridge branch of Brandys is like any typical roast shops around, located in mangere bridge village and also brew coffee and other refreshments too. Meal Wise just like in any roast shops nice and colorful and presented, see my foto.Nice looking staff working there too, Thanks guys/gals for the feed.
This place was soooooo good when it first opened. It used to be so busy as well, but not so much these days since all the other restaurants and cafes opened.Top picks:Crackling because who doesn’t love cracklingTheir roast potatoes. I love the coating they use on the potatoes.
Perfect place for a nice Sunday roast. Love the massive portion sizes Myself and partner are pretty big eaters We could just finish the medium-sized dinner $9 each? $18 dinner for two by far the best place for value.Tender Pork, crackling, roast pumpkin, kumara & Potatoes. Mixed vegetables, gravy and Apple sauce. I’ve been to Clendon, panmure and old papatoetoe Brandys roast but could not taste the love in the food like at the mangere bridge branch Place is a bit out dated would not find the hipsters here but if your just wanting somewhere to eat out with the closest thing to home cooking that’s honest, hearty, flavoursom and very cheap this is the place Definitely be back, most proberbly every Sunday
Love this place! The staff are very friendly. The chips are good old fashioned chips in a cup, and they taste good. The meat sandwiches are good value and you can get salad on them as well, and they use wheatmeal bread. The roast potatoes are perfect. The kumara and pumpkin can be a bit hit and miss, though. They also have some dessert options – the cheesecakes are very good, the slices not so much. The fried chicken is also good. The only bad spot is the gravy, it’s awful, avoid it, it’s very very very salty and runny.
