We really want to see business succeed in Mangere Bridge. Which is why I’m utterly dissapointed in the quality of food produced at Colaba.Service and friendliness of staff was wonderful, but I can’t get past the bland flavors and watery sauce/gravy. Even more bland than a mall food court curry. We were really looking forward to having a decent local Indian takeout, but I guess we will keep driving to Sandrigham in the mean time. You’ve only just started up guys, time to be honest, pick yourself off the deck and start making some good food..
I went on the opening day. First thing I noticed when I went in was the amazing smell. Nothing smells better than Indian food cooking. I’m not an experienced Indian cuisine eater so I don’t know if the prices were competitive or not, they seemed reasonable to me. We didn’t get a huge amount on this visit, some samosa, naan bread and poppadoms, and they were all excellent. The staff are super friendly too. They also do pita pockets and they have a breakfast menu, open super early. I would recommend. Just been there again, two month later, and had the vegetable korma and it was really nice. Good if you don’t like spicy.
Unfortunately there is nothing good to say about this place…curry is so, so watery. Naan bread tastes like it was from the supermarket. Very disappointing as I love to support the shops at Mangere Bridge. Nothing much else to say really.
Too watery and unfortunately lacked good taste and spice, take pride in your food and keep it authentic and customers will keep coming back. Really hoping Mangere can produce some good restaurants for others to come try
Gets 1 star cause you cant give it less…Vegetable Korma = vegetable water dont even think about buying something from here at $12.50 a container … wish I could post a picture of the slop … seeing is believing ..wouldnt fed it to the chickens .. panner tikka masala augh … they agreed it was awful and wanted to make us a new one …but happy to serve crap in the first place … shame …really grose!
