For $10 chicken curry laksa is the best value meal in Manukau area! Wait can be long if gets busy as most of the time it’s only the husband and wife team only.If you don’t mind the wait then do try here as a cheap eat option when you are around here.
Have been to this cafe several times for dine-in and take away. The foods are fairly average, except for the chicken rendang curry which was below average. I was a bit shocked to note that the so-called chicken rendang curry was rendang curry with all chicken wings only, no other parts of chicken being used. The same goes to the chicken rendang curry on rice. If you don’t like chicken wing, I suggest that you don’t order this chicken rendang curry. This item is named as rendang curry chicken on the menu.This is a small cafe with limited seatings. They offer a wide spectrum of menu mainly consisting of Malaysian foods.One very commending point for this restaurant is that the prices are relatively very reasonable as compared to a lot of other Malaysian food cafes.You will note that even Malaysian food stall at food courts in the vicinity area impose much more higher prices, for example, Taste of Malaysia Restaurant at Food Junction Manukau is charging comparatively high prices although it is a food court stall.Food & Beverage : 6/10Service : 6/10Price : 8/10 (very reasonable)Ambience : 6/10
It was tasty, the Nasi Lemak was very good and came with the nuts and dried fish and so was the Laksa. The roti was as good as you are going to find it here in NZ (it’s not the same as Malaysia but it’s tasty). The roast duck was a tad salty but the service was friendly, portions massive and price was fantastic.
