They make pretty good fish bites and the burgers are pretty good too. Their food is consistent and on the better end of fish and chips because its not so oily or salty. Our regular fish and chip joint if were ever feeling like some fish and chips.
Lets start with the positives. Great greetings and plenty come here. They do get a heavy period block where you need to get in quick before it becomes chaotic. Which led us to believe that this place has some potential. However, when we first starting coming here, our fish n chips and burgers were great! But the last few times our order has either been missing items or it was way to greasy. Unfortunately, this place has dropped off our list of places to go.
Seriously the best takeaway burgers in manurewa buns and fillings are so fresh patties are just YUM fish chips always perfectly cooked fast and friendly service. Definately our go to for the classic fish and chips experience.
Horrible food, Chips were soggy, fish was very oily batter didn’t even stay on fish was all stuck to bag, curry roll was very dry. wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back

Gold Coast Takeaways was a pleasant surprise!My expectations going in were pretty standard considering it was quite late and the shop is located within a tiny, isolated block of shops. It’s fast becoming one of my go-to fish and chip shops, definitely so for when in south Auckland.Their prices are standard as far as fish and chip stores go, but the foods above average for sure! Their seafood actually tastes like seafood, not that over processed, over cooked stuff you usually get.Their mussel bites were fresh and juicy, and their crab sticks were sweet and delicious!Haven’t had a single batch of chips that were overcooked or soggy.I’d recommend trying their basic burger range. The gourmet ones are nice but a bit pricey for what you get.The general burgers are delicious without the need for anything fancy.Also, pineapple fritter. Need I say more. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu in the near future!
