First timer trying local indian food in diwali auckland festival, they have a lot of stands here and one of Denny Setiawan friend recommend us to try Dahi Puri, i was unsure about the taste at the beginning but after tried it, i like it.. the taste its sweet and sour, its delicious.. too bad the original place is quite far from where i live but definitely might go there someday for the snacks
Visited this place a couple of nights ago. Queried as to whether they made Lamb Nawabi as it wasn’t on their menu to which after consulting the chef was advised he could make it. Ordered the $35 combo which was to come with 3 naan breads. We decided to takeaway the meal as the shop was closing soon. Upon arriving at home we found that we had only been given 2 naan breads not 3 and the bread we were given were quite burnt and dried out. The Nawabi was flavourless and the lamb quite dry. Very disappointed, would not recommend nor would I return. I should have referred to the reviews before trying this place.
Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service. Ordered a paneer biryani take away however gave a allo gobhi (potato cauli flower) biryani. Called them to advise about the wrong order. Initially, counter staff said that they will deliver the correct order to my home address and will take the wrong one back. After 40 minutes wait, called back and I was put through to chef who said that I will get only allo gobhi for $12. I told him that I ordered what I wanted to eat not the price. He then asked my address to get the replacement sent however half way through the conversation he hung up the phone. I called again and same guy picked up the phone saying that he was busy and asked me to call back in 5 minutes. I replied not to worry about it anymore. It’s not about the money, It’s about the wrong order and undertaking ownership for that. Later the staff girl called me asking for apology. She said that the owner and chef took out their anger on her. Poor girl, felt sorry for her. I think these people don’t know the consumer rights in New Zealand. This is the one of the reason Indian restaurants have poor reputation how they treat their staff.
Food is ok. Like many of times m going to eat chnaa bhtura but some time service is not fast nd not gud as well. Overall m Not satisfied now. M stopping to going there
Very nice food and service I went there many times
Went in today for a snack.. had dahi puri and pani puri both very tasty.. was impressed.. I am looking forward to trying other snacks soon..
