If youre looking for the best squid rings this is where you find them seriously can eat 20 of these bad boys. Love them because theyre not rubbery like most take aways, theyre fresh and amazing
My kids and I are sick as…we bought fish and chips last night and I’m running to the toilet all the time..kids r sick too!!! I’ve wrapped up the fish that we didn’t eat which honestly tasted off,and floury…yuk..I’m sad coz we eat Toby’s in otahuhu which are fresh n yummy .but herenever again.i just got back from Samoa,which the fish was super yummy fish!!! So that really sucked to come home to poor quality Kai
Loved every bit of my meal and actually feel like going to buy more. Fish was fresh and nicely battered (not too thick and oily), chips were cooked perfect and the Lemon and drink topped it off. Clean and very busy but there is sufficient tables and chairs to accommodate everyone at their new store. This has to be my favorite fish’n’chip place now.
Fresh food always! Mean fry bread, meke feeds New location a lot better then the previous. More seats better atmosphere, decent parking recommended to everyone out massey/Westgate areas or anyone driving through looking for a decent feed of fresh fish n chips and seafood selection
Its our first time visited, friendly services, but the seafoods and chips werent good as expected, also the burger is not worth wat we paid for.
I’ve been here a few times now and usually it’s pretty good. But today I got some Tarakihi and it had a distinct ammonia smell and taste to it and was completely inedible. I vaguely remembered something about fish that has an ammonia smell or flavour so I Googled it and it reminded me – it’s something that can occur where fish isn’t fresh and is somewhat decomposed. This is unacceptable. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to Toby’s Seafood.Order #362 if they’re interested, but I doubt it.
Fast food is ok, about what you’d expect and does the trick. The big let down for me are the containers of fresh seafood. They’re a lot smaller than they used to be which makes them pricey for what you get and the raw fish just tastes sad like theres no love in it, which is a damn shame really because it used to be so good, well seasoned, thick and creamy.
