Been here twice and the first time we went we were so impressed however, the second time we came we were a little underwhelmed. The first time we came we had the ‘garden beetroot salad’, ‘the mezze platter’ & the ‘margerita pizza’ & the ‘el diablo pizza’. Everything looked so good and it tasted even better. The view is also gorgeous and the service is so good, with servers coming up every few minutes clearing the table and asking if we’re okay. However, the second time we didn’t love the food. We had a ‘mezze platter’ , ‘margerita pizza’, ‘napoli pizza’ and they were good but then my friend and I ordered some salads which we did not enjoy. My friend had the ‘ham hock & garden leaves salad’ and she found the sauce on it to be so spicy and she didn’t like it and I had the ‘caprese salad’ which was okay but a little too much balsamic glaze for my liking. The drinks were really nice though, we had the ‘tropic thunder’ mocktails and they were so pretty and tasted really good. I just think our second experience wasn’t as good as the first but I would definitely still come back here and I definitely recommend it :)))
While I was on a day trip to Waiheke we stopped off here for lunch. We had a cheese pizza, a platter of cured meats, breads, crackers and dips, and a bowl of chips. The chips were nice and salty. The pizza was very fresh and cheesy and everything on the platter was very fresh and delicious.
