My friend and I ate here before taking the ferry once. We ordered a coffee and a meat pie. The coffee wasnt so great but overall not so bad. Where it gets really bad was when, We both devoloped food poisoning from this pie. I visited the cafe again a few days later to speak with the manager, to explain what had happened and explain my concerns about his healthy and safety. Unfortunately the manager Harold responded very rudely to me saying, you are just a tourist with nothing better to do than give me trouble, if you dont like our food, dont eat here I was very upset and offended to be treated this way. So I would like to warn anybody thinking of eating here. Please dont support this business. There are many great Cafes in Waiheke but this is not one of them. Its a shame because with some improved hygiene and a new owner. This place could do great.
