Big bakery with some seating, but I always get take away. The pecan tart is my favourite, but everything I’ve had here has been delicious and the service is always friendly. I drive out to this place from the city because there’s so much variety and I’ve consistently enjoyed everything I’ve tried!
I ordered a cake (to be taken to a special party) and went to collect it. I was given the cake in a box which was scribbled with my name , the price of the cake and the pickup time. On earlier occasions when i ordered the staff put a removable sticker on the box. When I showed the scribbled box to the staff member he acted as if it that was the norm. In the end he gave me a new box but was very rude and sarcastic about it.
Got a chicken burger here on the way home after work. The chicken was dissapointing and it was just too overfilled with greens for my liking. However, the bun was quite flavourful.
Do not normally review bakery services however this really does deserve a mention. One star is too high but can not put lowerJust paid $4.60 for what was supposed to be a lamb and mint pie. All I could taste was carrot ! The cubes of meat had no flavor at all and as for mint there was no sign of this.I will not be going back and recommend that others do not. IF the other overpriced product is anything like this pie then it is all about look and forget the flavor.I was hoping to find a good local bakery close to home the search continues
Went back a couple of weeks ago after not being back for a number of years. Ordered a Louise Slice (which I absolutely loved back in the day) and custard slice. The custard slice is ok but the Louise slice is not what it used to be! It used to be a layer of pastry, raspberry jam, a layer of toasted desiccated coconut (kinda like a macaroon) topped with raspberry jam but now it is two layers if pastry with raspberry jam in between and pink raspberry icing on top (like the Louise slice you get out of a packet from the supermarket). Not too sure if the owner has changed or just the recipe has changed. Might go back to try something else, but definitely won’t order the Louise slice again!
Very nice food, very average coffee. The food has good serving sizes and is absolutely delicious, but the coffee leaves a bit to be desired. Also, seating is minimal and open to customers walking past to get served, so you’l be in the way and conversation will not be easy. To take out food then it is highly recommended. If you want to sit down and dine in, then Meadow up the road is probably better choice.
We drive across town to go to Meadowbank Bakery, their food is great. They have an amazing selection of goodies. And they do a nice mocha.
