Why is it so difficult to find quality Korean food without having to cross over to the shore?Tae Hwa Ru specialise in Korean-Chinese dishes which are best suited for groups. We had the Sweet and Sour pork with large onion slices, spicy seafood noodle, jiajangmyeon and their brown rice seafood stew.I would recommend talking to the waiter if you’re unsure about what to order, our waiter suggested us to order the Seafood stew and it was absolutely divine. Thick broth-like stew which was infused with a variety of flavours from the sea–scallop, prawn and mussels. This was definitely the favourite of the table.Showstopper: Seafood brown rice stewOverall Grade: B+
This is a korean-chinese restaurant. Their ranges from poor-good depending on how busy and understaffed they are. Some nights you get exceptional service, some nights you want to question if they even want to do business at all. The food quality has been going down over the years though.
Food was average and below average service. The food took ages to arrive onto our table and the chicken noodle soup is such a rip off. Not too Chinese, guess it’s more Korean Chinese. Won’t see us return here for another meal.
Seriously good jjampong spicy seafood soup and they have good sweet and sour pork with strips of spring onion which is recommend by the owner 🙂 their couple meal set is always my favourite! try their speciality which is fried dumpling!! they sell out very fast!!
The manpower of this establishment is fantastic. They are modest and attentive with what their clients need. I highly recommend their fried noodle with black bean paste and seafood. This will surely satisfy your palate if you are aiming for a spicy noodles. There are plenty of selections from chicken, beef, and pork viands. Give it a try fellas!!!
I ordered the fried rice with egg on top as a takeaway. It was absolutely delicious, so flavourful and just have that right balance of saltiness and sweet from the drizzle of ketchup. Although, I was really disappointed with the serving of the fried rice, i guess it’s a lot more egg than rice. I wish i had more, and hopefully that is the only time they go stinggy on me.
