A Shanghai friend brought me here to try their fried pork buns. It was a small shop run by an old couple only accepting cash. If you don’t have with you, ANZ is just next to them. The place is simple and small but the lady boss is very kind and considered. We bought 8 pieces of fried pork buns, a Shanghai fried noodles, and a stir fry bak choy with fried tofu and we loved all of them. The outer of the bun is crispy and the inner is juicy. It’s better to consume immediately than takeaway. Will come back for their buns again and to the try other dishes. They are open until midnight so it’s a good option for late supper!

Walk past this place almost everday and I see the owners just starting their day. We finally went in to eat and the pork buns are amazing. Juicy on the inside and crispy outside. The wontons are also quite nice. They were quite big and the soup was good too. Although did feel quite thirsty after the meal. All in all good experience. Will be back for the buns
Yet again it is one of these dining experiences I love. Small, nothing fancy and priced not too bad. It’s run by a Shanghainese couple and so the menu consists of mainly Shanghainese cuisine and it has the policy of pay when you order and by cash only. No eftpos or credit. The menu on the wall is in chinese and of quite a good selection, but don’t worry if you don’t understand it as they do have a menu in english. My favourite here is the Shanghainese fried bun , really delicious and of which I can eat so many until I am near to bursting ( or , as the chinese would put it. ) Another favoured is the pork and green bokchoy wonton , I even know of some Shanghainese living here who reckon the bun is of the same standard if not better than of what you would taste in Shanghai. Well done to this couple for being able to produce the dishes so well that they taste just like or better than back home and at a decent price. Great place to go if you are into this delicious cuisine!!!
The problem is cash only, but there is a bank nearby. The taste of the food are amazing especially chicken rice and noodles though some dishes are a little bit spicy. Worth to go and try! Besides the boss of the restaurant is very nice. ?
I am only giving 4 because I haven’t tried anything but the mini fried pork buns based on a recommendation, but would def give other items a go based on their insane deliciousness. They are one of the most delicious little things I have ever eaten, and in fact writing this review has made me want them again right now. Lucky I live just down the road.
