A great selection of deli salads, pies, meat and organic ice cream tubs plus fudge and sweets and cooking ware. You can put together a lovely meal from their delicious selection of goodies. They also have some seating if you prefer to eat in. There is something here for all taste buds.

Essential deli food is gem! been there 9times for myself or work lunch. their mystery $10 lunch box is always different and yummy although very small portion 🙂 their coffee is fresh, salad/sandwich/hot pie are to die for. male staff guy is extremely helpful when I ask question about food in the cabinet and one of female lady who works there looks angry kinda attitude HURRY UP AND LEAVE kinda behaviour. love their good gourmet selection of sauce, food ingredients foodie haven!

I really used to love going to the Mt EdenDeli – but over the last couple of months the service etc has really gone down hill. They also seem to change staff on a regular basis. Once nothing was ever an issue – now it just appears to be a hassel if you even ask a question. I will still continue to go but before I would bypass other places just to go to the deli in Mt Eden – now its unfortunately not my first choice any more.

It is the staff at this deli that make me return so frequently. They are always extremely pleasant despite being very busy at times. The food is excellent too and their salads are great and the portions are generous.Their pies are delicious .

Standing in this Deli and waiting for a takeaway coffee was a pleasure. My eyes danced over the most amazing looking food! Delicious looking salads, gourmet pies, bread and baking. Every available space in this Deli holds gourmet sauces, preserves, sweets and much more! I got a plum and white chocolate brioche which was so yummy and a good coffee. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Tucked from the heart of the Mt Eden Village this wee gem is an Aladdins cave of goodies. With an array of lunch and dinner (takeaway as it closes around 5pm – it is a deli after all) options. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Salads (8-10 options)Sandwiches Gourmet Pies – many options but I like the salmon. Wraps and varying other titbits of tastiness. A range of sweet treats – varies day to day but 5 slices made daily. Pates, dips and spreadsFresh Ham and prosciutto, etcTinned, canned, bottled condiments for Africa. Don’t wave your arms around as you’ll knock something from the shelves. Basically, if you’ve left it too late to go to SABATO, NOSH, etc you save a world of time and get the essentials at this place. Frozen range of goods plus icecreams and sorbets in the chillers. You can get products ordered in too! I get my Christmas ham from them. And coffee…..! It gets very busy so go for a browse or cup of tea off peak!

I love this deli. The food is awesome. I go all the time and really look forward to it. Great chocolate and sweet treats too. Excellent service as well. I love the caramel slice and the pizza. It is sort of home made tasting, in a good way. Like made from really decent ingredients rather than Bakels stuff for mass production. The only criticism I have is that they should have more seating. There are 2 tables inside but there is always stuff all over them like a pricing gun & products. and if you move your elbows you knock pickles and jams of the shelf. It is easily the best food in Mount Eden, please get some seating and you will earn more cash!
