Food was tasty and staff were polite and really trying their best. They seem to be struggling as a new-ish cafe, though. The staff all seemed really stressed! Our coffees arrived when we had almost finished our meals sadly. Peoples takeaway orders seemed to be taking ages and we overheard a few other tables near us having problems of incorrect orders etc. Just seemed like they were having lots of issues and mistakes. Might try it again in a couple of months.
Astonishing how good simple dishes can be when the best and freshest ingredients are used. The waitress was obviously new to the job but very sweet and attentive. The coffee is truly excellent. The decor and ambience urbane. We will be back.
After more than a month, one would expect teething issues to be sorted out. Alas, this is not the case. Our greeting was pleasant enough, but a 15 minute wait for coffee, only to be served a coffee that was meant for a table that arrived after us, which was then rudely snatched from me as I took it back.I appreciate you removed the coffees from the bill, but this doesnt compensate for being served scrambled eggs instead of poached and then receiving my correct order after the rest of the table had finished. The meals were average as was the coffee. The most exciting thing served to us was the side salad which had a pleasant dressing.
Great food and wonderful coffee. Wide menu providing options for all diets, and they allowed me to swap salmon for bacon without a problem. Can’t wait to return to try the French pastries that were calling me from the counter top.
Great food. There were a few teething issues of being a new cafe and also not having enough staff rostered on. This meant that one of our drinks arrived after wed finished our meals and we didnt receive a side wed ordered. Those two things aside, the staff themselves were lovely and very stressed. The food tasted absolutely great! Cant wait to go back.
Had a wonderful lunch here with a group of friends. Outdoor seating was comfortable and enough room for 7. We all ordered different things and every dish was great. Coffee was also very good. The service was friendly and attentive. We’ll be back!
We have just had our third visit to this new cafe/restaurant near us in Mt Eden. The menu has the standard but with a some differences making the food is especially tasty. We have not tried the pastries yet but they looked delicious. Best coffee on the street! There are footpath tables as well as an outdoor seating area. They are opening for dinner soon so are looking forward to that.
