Yes you will not have a world class a-la-carte customer service experience. Yes there will be a few delays from time to time coz there is only one guy who runs the show. And yeah, if you don’t visit this place more than a few times, you may mis-judge this place. This is your everyday budget lunch place that serves some amazing authentic dishes.I’ve been eating here for 3 years now since I work close to this place and would come here any day over the food court in Sylvia Park. When I get a fresh lunch pack for $8.00 with rice, some meat, dal, veges and other bit’s and pieces, I will not moan but grab the bargain. They’ve a everyday $10 lunch special which I pick from time to time.DOn’t be shy and try some of the authentic dishes, you will be blown away….
Called to order and the person who answered the phone didn’t even talked when he answered the phone, he just waited for me to talk before he talked back. I placed my order which is chicken biriyani and nasi goreng and he said it will be ready in 20 minutes. After 20 minutes my partner went to pick up the food, my partner told the person in the counter that he’s ready to pick up the food. The person just walks away without saying a word and came back after 20 minutes with the food. I quite like the nasi goreng. It’s not the usual malaysian nasi goreng that we order from other take away shops, i just assume that it’s the sri lankan nasi goreng. Chicken biriyani is so dry as well as the rice. It’s our first time to try this place and it’s only two minutes across our house but i think i won’t go back there anytime soon.
Ordered here last weekend. Was told over the phone it would take 25 minutes. Arrived 25 minutes later, told them I had a phone order. The person at the counter disappeared out back without saying a word, which I felt was strange, then came back 15 minutes later with my order. Nasi Goreng was ok, Chicken Biriyani was very dry.
