This used to be a family favourite for birthday cakes but we haven’t bought one since they changed their recipes and increased their prices. We got a black Forest cake. The cake does not look as good as it used to and I suspect that they have cut the cost of making their cakes while increasing their prices. This is not a problem normally but sadly the quality has decreased as well. The sponge is crumbly and sandy now without much texture or firmness (if I were to judge it based on the sponge cake this would be an epic fail). The sour cherry jam was nice but overall the cake, cherry and cream ratio was not balance with the cream and cherry sauce hiding the terrible sponge. Considering the price is now closer to most upper end cake places such as rocket kitchen and Eve’s pantry, I’ll probably forego buying cakes from here now and go to those places instead. Hopefully the cheesecakes haven’t changed much. I have good memories of this place but unfortunately not worth the price you pay now.

We ordered mango and passion fruit cheesecake. It tasted pretty average. There was neither taste of mango nor passion fruit, it tasted more like purely cheese. Their customer service was good, the staff were friendly and helpful.Tried their American cheesecake last week, it was very average and tasted like an ordinary cheesecake from any other bakery shop.I had peanut butter cheesecake from the Manukau outlet previously, it was pretty yummy, tasted above average.I guess it all depends on which flavour of cheesecake you order and your taste preference too. Some of their cheesecakes are fairly good and some are not as nice.Food & Beverage : 5/10Service : 7/10Price : 6/10Ambience : 6/10
