My first ever experience at any Lonestar restaurants. Ribs were so delicious! I also tried the ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly. Jack Daniel’s Fudge for dessert was so good and delicious but I wasn’t a fan of the Banofee pie which was served with no ice cream which I didnt realised when ordered. Banofee pie just felt like something was missing.Service was a real let down. Felt like it took an hour for our food to be served plus we had children with us so they were getting restless. It was obvious there was not enough staff last night and because of that, ambience is busy and uneasy for me. It really changes the dining experience. We were a large number and they would be short of things like handwashing bowls for those with ribs. Also didnt bring straws for the kids drinks. Most of our time was spent waiting. One of the staff even fully screamed at one of our tweens (as in pre-teen) infront of us for running which is understandable but I think very unprofessional as an employee, he should have approached us parents as child felt very humiliated. But trust me we were growling our own kids about settling down but when cousins get together, kids just love to play up. I would easily have given 5stars if there were enough staff and my kid didnt get yelled at by staff. I would love to come back during offpeak hours.

You know exactly what you’re getting when you go to Lone Star.Ordered the San Quentin Squid, Rock The Boat and the Hero Burger. All meals were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Interior was warm and cosy. Location itself is almost tucked away near the corner of Clark and Great North; such that I almost missed it! There is easy enough parking nearby.

Ordered something new! Midnight nachos-a Mexican dish which I never tend to gravitate towards. However it was a lovely surprise, it was a great starter! Firstly the portion size for a starter is very good, its the size of a normal main meal in my opinion if I wasnt sharing between two then I definitely wouldnt have been able to continue to the main course. The topping to corn chip ratio is also just right, it didnt seem like they were trying to be stingy at all. The blend of sour cream with beef and spicy beans were delicious and not overpowering, the taste savory and moist, never bland. Only when eaten with the jalapeos could you taste the spicyness erupting in the mouth. 8.5/10I will get ribs forever! It is literally my go to meal at lone star, you cant go wrong. These were literally what got me into spare ribs as a dish! The redneck ribs are literally the perfect size and shape. The sauce is rich and a great accompaniment to the meat and there is just the right amount. Although the meat does not fall off the bone, I personally love this-I like to chew and take my time digging into my meal. The meat although chewy is still tender and moist, not at all drying, even st the ends or sides of the rib. I also prefer when ribs are served individually rather than a in a block. Sometimes the pieces will also have an extra juicy chunk and that makes it even tastier! Its served with the classic coleslaw salad and potatoes. These were just average, potatoes can be a bit dry and not crisp and the salad is alright, not special but the good thing is that its not soggy and the sauce doesnt pool. 8.5/10The reason why Im not giving five stars is because I feel that the menu is too set with not much variety and lacks to cater for a wider population. Also Im still saving five stars waiting for the day I come across ribs that completely blows my mind!!
