Good food, pretty authentic! Lovely service, we were offered tea and they were happy to use my reusable container. Great prices and sizes, sweet decor. Will go again to try other dishes on their menu.
Simple, authentic. All the good stuff from Kuala Lumpur street food vendors. If you like Malaysian food, this is an unpretentious little gem.
What’s not to like?! Authentic, tasty, cheap and all served up by wonderfully warm hosts who, if you express any interest in the food will happily tell you all about it. Come here for the food, not the decor!
Wah… awesome wan tan mee! looking forward to my next visit to try their other dishes. Place reminds me of the coffee shops in malaysia – certainly a place for comfort food for Malaysians
My partner and I are both from Malaysia, we have been to this place many times. The dry Wanton Char Siew noodle is unbeatable, even better than some shops in KL. Recently, they have added Pan Mee and Yong Tau Fu onto their menu. You can find all the classic Malaysian flavours under one roof! One of the best Malaysian restaurants in Auckland.
Small non-descript place out in New Lynn. You don’t expect much but this place has the best Malaysian Curry Chicken Laksa. And a very very decent Bakuteh. A must try for any Malaysian out west and looking for a taste of home.
This is the first place I have been to serve noodle like back home in Southeast Asia. Char Siew Wanton Mee (Sweet BBQ pork Noodle with moneybags). Absolutey love it. The noodle has different texture from typical Mainland China’s noodle……..My partner had seafood noodle, which was good . But I like mine better!!!Don’t let the shop appearance discourage you. From the outside, it looks like some dilapidated chinese noodle shop that’s gonna close down anytime soon. But the truth is they serve authentic Noodle here.Service wise, be prepared to experience dining experience like middle-class Asian. Meaning, you won’t get those 5-star waiter or waitresses. Well it’s given, because this is a takeaways !!! They r gonna just place you food as-if in front of you….No tricks, No tips. But, hey. this is part of the cultural experience. Come here, dine like how we do this back home in Southeast Asia
