We came here based on the raving reviews! Im a sucker for some good pancakes and have yet to found the perfect pancakes in Auckland… Unfortunately I didnt find them here either. Though they had plenty of potential, and I must say, they were light and fluffy but unfortunately I found my pancakes slightly undercooked and lacking maple syrup. Sure, I couldve asked for more, but I wish it had have been smothered in it, or at least have a bottle of the stuff readily available on the table. Maybe thats just me? We also ordered the daisy sandwich, unfortunately another miss for us. I think thats purely down to personal preference. The battered fries though, hands down, winner! Id happily go back just for the fries and the friendly service. Though, you really need to be patient because a table can be hard to come by depending on what time of day you go.

Spotless and a nice caf team, I felt completely at home.Unfortunately, I didnt get the chance to try out their signature doughnut, although they looked delicious, Im sure I get more opportunities in the future. I picked up my standard black coffee with a Eggs Butty. How was it? The perfect way to kick off your day, fried egg and grilled sweet bacon with toasted buns.Overall Grade: A-Showstopper: One of the best local cafes around Auckland.
