The food is nice and they have a lunch special where you can pick one dish from 4 choices that comes with rice for $7 or 2 options for $13 which I think is really worth it! I usually order the curry chicken and pork stir fry options that are delicious. They also have a normal menu where you can order noodles and other dishes for about $12. Would definitely recommend!!
This place has new dishes I have not seen at other Malaysian eateries around Auckland which is a nice change. I tried their fruit salad sauce chicken on rice and was pleasantly surprised, chicken was tender and had a good amount of sauce. My meal came out piping hot and was perfect for a cold windy day.I’ll be back to try their other dishes soon!
I ordered rendang chicken on rice. You can view the sample photo on their menu. It is actually quite different from what I got. What I got was actually more curry on rice. Rendang is meant to be dry. Still as far as curry goes it tasted right. It was just not what I expected to get when I wanted rendang. The wait was also a little long. I suspect kitchen was a bit short staffed. I see potential in this place. They know their spices and flavour. They just need to stick to what their sample photo shows.
