Service-3.5/5Food- 4/5Ambience- 3.5/5Had the beef nasi lemak-rice was aromatic with the coconut and pandan flavour. Huge serving of chicken laksa which was creamy and had the right spicy hit.Really good on a cold night. If you are not a big eater and had other small dishes the soup is good for 2.Been here twice. 2nd was a bit of wait as the line was long to get in. Even the outside seating was packed, I guess it was a start of dinner service around 6:30. They dont take reservations.Self service on the tea and water. You have to order and pay before they serve your food.Parking might be limited as its located near a busy intersection on Broadway. Although in the evening might be easier to find one
Its a cool little Malaysian street food place. Prices are not high and the portions are big. You can feed 2 hungry people with 1 bowl of noodles. The taste is not bad and spicy enough. The service is not the best but I guess its what you get in this type of place. Very busy during lunch time. Environment is a bit run down and not the cleanest toilets. Still I would give a 4star because of the combination: food, quality, priceWould definitely go back.
This place is good and it does have good food. However the reason for a 3 is due to the fact that you don’t get good service here. It is a restaurant but you get treated like you’re in a food court. Also, the place is always busy (no doubt the food is good and you probably can’t find better Malaysian food in New Market or near by) but finding a seat is a struggle especially if you go with 4 or more people.
Laksa dishes are great for a hearty meal. Make sure to come early or on a non-busy day so they dont run out 🙂 The portion sizes are HUGE so are well worth the price. I highly recommend checking this place!
Cant go wrong with this Malaysian restaurant! Beautiful Laksa, soup noodles and fried noodles. Good portions sizes. Bound to please everyone!
Walked past here a few times and noticed the place is very popular, decided to give it a go. Surrounded by expensive restaurants in the area, you do feel it’s such a good value for your money. You’ll get a huge bowl of noodles if you ordered Laksa and it’s very tasty. However all it can offer is street food rather than something at a restaurant level.
Always walked past here and noticed the crowd, decided to finally give this place a go.Self service water and tea here, and the waiter was welcoming and attentive. It was a pretty busy night as they had ran out of a few ingredients so our options were quite limited. Ordered one my favourite tofu dishes and really enjoyed it! Beautifully silky on the inside, I love this dish. My noodles on the other hand, was nice a little on the bland side for my taste. I was really craving a laksa but they had ran out of ingredients to make it. Considering the hype, itd be back another time to give it a go.
