I believe the cafe is now under new ownership. Staff member was really friendly and polite . Unfortunately my coffee was very burnt. Place needs brightor decor, feels a little lonely and out dated. Hoping to give this place another go in a few months to see if things have changed.
This humble family owned and operated cafe was my go-to for lunch when I worked in Newmarket. The married couple who operate Station Cafe are friendly and incredibly charming. They make everything fresh in house and have a real passion for ensuring customers are satisfied – often asking how your meal went and what they could improve on next time, in a way that’s not overbearing. There’s lovely outdoor seating in the quiet station square so you can read and eat in peace under an umbrella. The chicken burger is a menu standout – cooked fresh with marinated whole chicken breast fillets and packed with delicious salads – and is incredibly well priced. I’ve also had the bacon pancakes and was pretty impressed. While this little place may not have the hipster appeal of many other Newmarket eateries, it still sits at the top of my list of favourite cafes.
Came here after an interview in Newmarket.. The couple that own the cafe are just beautiful – very friendly and chatty. I ordered 2 eggs and bacon… It was cooked perfectly. I also ordered a iced chocolate which was delicious! This will be my new local which I’m very happy about!!
I am a regular there, every morning I stop by for a quick mocha or hot chocolate. The BEST coffees and hot chocolate! Always welcoming with great customer service 🙂 I highly recommend Station Cafe. If you are ever in New Market stop at Station Cafe for the perfect coffee/hot chocoate 🙂
The food was fantastic and service is warm and friendly. Especially enjoyed their coffee as it was just to my tastes. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again
Congratulations on your first review! The Chicken Burger was delicious! Ordered the non spicy one but was still a little spicy, apparently spicy version is much more hot. It had chicken, a fresh salad, and mayonaise in between two lightly toasted garlic buns. The chef told me I can add a fried egg in the burger for an extra $1. Worth a try for a quick small lunch, and the fact they use real chicken meat deserves appraisal. Fast and very friendly service too! Environment very clean and tidy, worth the visit 🙂
