Came to this place during rush hour on Sunday but we were looked after really well. Quick and friendly service. Coffee was awesome! We ordered the chicken burgers and fried chicken. Food was well presented and flavors were well mixed together. Definitely a place to check out if you fancy for Korean-kiwi plates.
After the disastrous experience in MorningSide we settled in The Candy Shop recommend by a friend (whom we later found out have not yet been here themselves lol ). The waiter (short white male) that sat us was cold & pretty dismissive but everyone else was nice! Food was mediocre, small portioned.. not really worth the price tbh. I had Lord Toast ($23) which was much smaller than I imagined, greasy and nothing special. My mum had the soba noodle with seared Tuna ($25) the three slices of tuna were beautiful and the highlight of our entire meal.
Hands down the best coffee Ive had in ages! The bibimbap was delicious and packed full of good ess and the bulgogi beef I added to it was delicious. Mum had the katsu sando and really enjoyed it.
Have heard so many great things about this place and it didnt disappoint! I love Korean fusion food and the fried chicken here really hit the spot!! Also the beetroot-cured salmon was delicious!! Have also had the sobs noodles with tuna which is yummy and the golden porridge which was nice but not my favourite – kind of felt like I was eating baby food by the end the polenta was so smooth.
Been here several times and never be disappointed. Nice ambience, friendly staffs and yummy differential food offerings. Soba Joba is light and chilled, great match for summer lunch. Market fish of day is fresh and juicy. And I loved coffee here. Please try all Asian fusion dishes here and you will love it.
Korean KFC and spaghetti meatball were best choice ever at The Candy Shop korean chicken spice seasoning was amazing and meatball was nice and big but juicy and sauce was good
Both food and coffee were excellent! Traditional brunch food with a bit of Fushion twist, very interesting menu. Would definitely come back and try more dishes!
