What is in those pork dumplings!! Heavenly little bundles of scented pork with a light aldente wrapper. And the Soup of the day? Delicious chunks of chicken with lots of veggies in a delicious broth. And its a bar? This is quality Japanese food. Definitely coming back.

Was here on a Thursday night and two friends and I were wanting just a quick bite as we were very hungry before going someplace else with our plans. We were the only customers during this time, and then 2 other customers arrive a few minutes after us. I ordered 5pc of vegetarian dumplings to take away and my friend ordered a jumbo chicken Katsu I believe. My other friend had bought food from St Pierres beforehand and therefore did not order food. The food itself was delicious. However what left a greater impression on us was the service. Firstly when I ordered the hostess felt almost hostile, no friendly greetings or anything alike but just blunt disinterested answers. This was true until till the end. When I ordered and paid for my takeaway meal, my friend and I waited on the wooden tables available outside. She then was beginning to start on her sushi when the hostess came, flicked the plastic sushi container almost in an attempt to close it and said in a very unfriendly tone that she cannot eat here. My friend then said that she was with us and then the hostess said that it didnt matter, she cant eat that here.Afterward, the hostess kept staring at my friend continuously while in the kitchen. Now, in the hostess defense, we should have absolutely asked if we were allowed to bring other food to eat there while waiting or if we decided to finish our meals there. Understandably as well this must be a common situation the hostess deals because Im not sure why she would say this so maliciously. However it was a truly honest mistake, and my friend then complied with immediately. But because of this, she felt incredibly uncomfortable while my other friend and I waited for our meals to go, her nearly on the verge of tears. And thus, this unpleasant experience, despite the delicious meals does not entice us to visit Acho again. Were not sure if it was because we were in the younger demographic perhaps of Achos usual clientele, that gave them the idea we were going to stir trouble or that we had done something very wrong, enough to warrant such treatment but I had such high hopes with the reviews of friendly staff and wonderful ambiance. This truly left a sour note to our night and a bitter memory with the establishment. Im rating 2 stars because 1) the food was, delicious and 2) giving them the benefit of the doubt that the service this time was a one off and perhaps they just had a very hard day.
