I have been a customer of Duchess since I was a wee girl, still come back here for a treat now and again. Best neenish tarts ever! Recently tried the Chicken & Cranberry pie & loooooved it! My mum loves the pasties and the sausage rolls are very yummy 🙂
I’ve been going to Duchess for my bakery fix for about 10 years. They are quite small and have a select number of classics that you would expect from a NZ style bakery.Their sausage rolls are great as are their pies and savouries. Prices are good for the area, probably the cheapest lunch you will find on this street. My favourite item are their pasties, particularly their Chicken and celery pasties. Two of these pasties will fill me up and costs less than a pie. Their fresh cream donuts are my favourite.Duchess are great if you need to feed a group of people on a budget, I usually pay about $50 to feed about 20 people for morning tea. Service is efficient. There isn’t anywhere in this shop to eat so this is purely a takeaway spot. bunnyeatsdesign.com
