But it was a complete disappointment and did not make me go nuts . Its located in the mercury plaza food court a pretty busy place with many Asian cuisine to choose from . So if your looking for ambiance this is not the place as Koreanuts is one of those few vendors in the food court . Just order your food pay and its made grab a seat (first come basis) and enjoy the meal. I tried them on a day that I was craving spicy Korean beef soup . Its the no 12 hot beef noodle soup without the noodles . The soup was served piping hot (Oh!! she asked me how spicy I am very good at handling spice ) so i said spicy the beef soup arrived it was firstly watery even the egg could not thicken the soup , now i have eaten this before at many place and it usually has a good constituency . It was bland and tasteless i was served with rice but is was really bad . The meats was also dry and it was not delicious spicy but just burning hot tasteless spicy . The lady was not only rude but the food was equally bad skip this one not tried anything else as it does not seem authentic and might never try
All good if you are prepared to wait for average 15 minutes. They take their time but the food is tasty. Kimchi adds to the taste. Area is always so give yourself enough time
OMG I am sooo glad I live miles away from this shop because I would eat there every single day. I am addicted to the hot tofu soup (its undeniably soul food – an absolute turn on), and the bbQ squid (now that takes you to another dimension too). The elderly couple there are so sweet and lovely. I have come here for years and will continue to do so.
Run by Chinese Korean who cooks Korean food in their own way. if you love MSG and strong taste, this is a place for you. I got three takeaway- bbq squid, beef spicy soup and chicken fried dumpling. bbq squid had no gochujang (pepper paste) they put too much oil, pepper flake and soy sauce only. beef spicy stew tasted too salty and full of msg flavour which I didn’t eat after I tried once. however their chicken fried chicken was really giant size and really tasty.
This place suck to be very blunt.Usually get dumplings from here cause it’s really cheap but they was they make it sucks.Whatever style you get the dumplings they are already pre-boiled. So when I get fried dumplings it’s not the texture I’m looking for.
I ordered bbq pork which was pretty average, not too bad tho. Just hardly any flavour. Mostly disappointed because there’s so much other yum food from mercurys plaza I could have ordered! At least it was quick
Massive change (for the worse) when the previous korean owners sold it to a chinese group. Not surprisingly, it does not taste authentic korean anymore. Servings are smaller. My all time favourite- pork and squid bbq is unrecognizable from how it was done. Cant even see the squid now too. Dont get the free appetizers any more. Not coming back.
