  Hidden away on KRoad, Neck of the Woods is primarily a live music venue, hosting a variety of cracker gigs and have now expanded into an awesome dinner option within the already bustling borough of K Rd.Last night we were able to sample a variety of items from their menu that focusses on a street food theme, sampling tastes from around the globe. The highlights of the menu included the Gao Bao Pork Belly Steamed Buns, Chow Chow Bacon Fried Potatoe, Turkish Meatballs and the highlight for me was definately the Chilli Cheese Hotdogs USA Style!The cocktail we were served on entry was also a winner: a combination of Chambord, Lemonade, Lime, Salt and Sauvignon Blanc. An unlikely pairing, but when whipped up by Neck of the Wood’s cocktail guru Eddie, it worked amazingly well.Staff were all awesome, and very welcoming and accommodating! And the venue itself has an awesome vibe, with amazing artwork and installations as well as two very well placed spacie machines near the entrance.   Well if you haven’t been to this neck of the woods lately then you only have yourself to blame… This is definitely one of the highlights of K Rd. With its multi-use venue it converts from a rustic character imbued restaurant to an open plan live music venue holding hundreds of people later in the night. I will definitely come back to check it out since food + live music = awesomeness… Thanks to our lovely hostess Chloe, Eddie the irrepressible mixologist and courteous Courtney, we were well taken care off, sampling some of the best street food options from around the world, all brought together impressively to one place for our enjoyment. Poutine, Gao Bao, Whitebait Fritters, Chilli Hotdogs, everything was sensational…

  This place is literally located in the Neck Of The Woods of K’Rd.Keep an eye out for the name board or else you might miss it because its located underground.This place surprised me because when walking down the flight of stairs I thought it would be dingy and claustrophobic but it was the total opposite.I liked the ambiance, its a prefect spot for weekday catch ups and I would love to visit this place in the weekend to get a drink and listen to bands etc..Speaking of drinks AMAZING cocktails!!!!! The bartender makes really tasty drinks and they are prized decently tooFood….I liked the idea of their ‘world street food menu’ one place offering food from different parts of the world.we tried chow chow bacon fried potato, Gao Bao, Vietnamese meat balls,white bait fritter sandwich, chilli cheese dog, and dan dan noodlesQuality -4.5/5Service 4.5/5Taste 3.75/5Would I visit again – YesMust try – Cocktails, Gao Bao and chow chow bacon fried potato@

  I would say it definitely is one of the leading venues for a night out in Auckland! it really does cater for the underground scene that thrives in any and every community bringing you world class acts to such an amazing and intimate venue. #g2
