The meal was ok-ish!I did not like the capsicum curry thing as it was on the fat and oily side. Some of the curries were on the too spicy side for my palate or the taste was a bit metallic.
I went there with a friend for lunch. Dal and curry were too watery and the potatoes were not completely cooked. The portion served for the thali was fine and the staff (the usual lady there) was most accommodating. I am not visiting again.
Love the dhal soup and samosas and the cute soap like candy in the window called barfi. The shared combos are a good price too. Delicious vegetarian
Best Indian restaurant in the country. I like the eggplant curry, okra curry, samosas, stuffed peppers, pickle, yoghurt soup, dhal soup, barfi, kulfi… pretty much everything actually.Really fantastic food. Indian vegetarian is where it’s at, and these guys are at the top of their game! It’s funny, I’ve been coming here since I was 12 years old and I’m 29 now – their quality has not diminished.
Awesome place, very friendly and they cater very well to the Jain diet! The owner Naynaben Bhindi makes authentic Gujarati vegetarian food using fresh ingredients, virtually the same as a home cooked meal. Plenty of variety and if you give advance notice they can virtually do any cuisine that a Gujarati household would have. Could go there every day that I am away from home!
Authentic home Gujarati food with none of the creamy fatty nonsense of mainstream westernized Indian restaurants. The food is on the spicier side but I guess that’s what the tamarind sauce is for-to help cool down. My favorites are the roti rolls and the sweet treats -barfi. They also let you take away bulk frozen roti rolls and samosas to heat up at home. Highly recommend
I really wanted to try the roti rolls but unfortunately they had run out when I got there. I only tried one snack food because I was on the go, but it was tasty and very reasonably priced. There are a few things available however I don’t think I would return because the food just didn’t jump out at me.
