First time back in 2 years and these guys are still rocking it! Always came here at least once a week for my fav usual the teriyaki salmon bento box!! Have never been disappointed 🙂 so much quality food for such a fantastic and affordable price! (Especially in comparison to any other Japanese joint, where bento boxes are nearly double the price and no where near as good!)These lovely folk always give me extra sashimi instead of the sushi 🙂 otherwise its too much rice for me and plus I love their sashimi Ive tried nearly everything else on their menu, and all so tasty!Im definitely back to being a regular
Best value Japanese in AKL from the sister-shop of the well loved Mercs sushi joint. A little cheaper, a good bit fresher and lovely people to top it off.
We come to this place often and is one of the best eateries on K’Road. Their lunch box/bento is really cheap ($11-$12) and the quality is great for the price. If you’re around Upper Queen Street/K’Road looking for a good meal, idefinitely recommend coming here.

It comes with sashimi nigiri, rolled sushi, tempura, salad, terayaki meat, rice and miso so it is perfect for those who are indecisive. Loved the terayaki chicken, the sauce was not too salty. Tempera was nicely fried and crunchy. The sushi and sashimi were just alright though, but with this price and all the things in the lunch box, you cant expect much. Other food in this place are also really cheap:)
This is my go to place for takeaways when I’m craving some cheap Japanese food. Their dinner box has a good variety of delicious sushi, sashimi, tempura and rice with salad and meat of your choice for a cheap price. Service is always friendly and I’m always satisfied with my meal.
Best sushi and sashimi I have ever had. Aucklands best kept secret! All their food is so fresh and authentic. I have yet to try anything on the menu I do not like, everything is simply amazing and for an amazing price too! If you like Japanese food you have to go, this guy deserves his own 5 star restaurant. If I could I would give him a 1000 star rating out of 5. They have amazing yakisoba too, the flavour is insane. Their sushi rice is perfect too which is quite rare in Auckland, definitely beats those sushi joints. Please try it out I promise you won’t regret it!
I’ve been going this place for years. their teriyaki chicken sushi roll, salmon sushi roll and prawn sushi roll are best they make as you order so rice is warm, they use good quality nori, ingredients are fresh and good. however, their bento box isn’t good but price wise is really good. interesting is they will put lots of mayo sauce on top of sushi by request, although I don’t like putting mayo all over sushi. staff are friendly.
