Really good authentic Korean food here. This place has been there long time. Only thing I don’t like about the restaurant is its shady location. Otherwise I would visit every week.
One of the best korean place. I’ve been a customer there for long time. They do Yummy soups, amazing dumpling and nice sides. Highly recommend. only one disappointment that this place closed on Tuesday, however on website says that they open 7 days. They have to update this information
The best Korean place that I have eaten on the shore. The staff are so lovely and nice. The side dishes are great and love the kimchi. Would highly recommend everything on the menu.
Love the ajumma here, she’s so nice 🙂 Although it’s called mandurang, we’re not a huge fan of the mandu (dumplings) – we always get the kimchi kalguksu, galchi jorim and altang. Great-tasting quality food every time.
We came in on a sunday afternoon and ordered their barbequed pork, spicy beef soup and fried dumplings. The portions are reasonable with the price and the food is quite good, but the side dishes are okay. Mandurang is a family-operated restaurant and mostly self-service except when they deliver your food.
One of friendliest Korean staff you can find in Auckland- caring service however food is not good as it used to be. they don’t make fresh dumpling anymore so when I have half and half kimchi and meat dumplings, meat smells old and dumping pastry was soggy. they put a lot of MSG In their yuk-ge-jang beef spicy vege soup. only dish I enjoy now is Jjol Myun chewy noodle assorted with vege and deep fried dumpling.
I’ve been here a few times and mostly enjoyed my experience. However, there isn’t much range compared to most Korean restaurants. Their specialty seems to be dumplings, so I’d recommend the dumpling soups. They even have kimchi dumplings, which is worth a try.Service is friendly and haven’t had a problem getting a table.
