Food tasted ok (not great) but portion for BBQ was rather small. This is the first time that we felt not full after a Korean BBQ meal. We ordered the marinated beef rib and marinated pork rib. There were 2 huge ribs in the beef set making up the weight of 350g, leaving very small portion of beef meat. We refilled the side dishes once. The staff are unfriendly and can’t really converse in English. They hardly assist us in the cooking. All these make us feel unwelcome. All in all the meal cost about $60. I don’t think it is value for money.

Rude staff. The food was average at best. One of myfriends even made the comment that it was worse than home cooking. The worst part of the whole experience was the incredible rudeness of thestaff. I found myself speechless (I am usually outspoken) at how impolite thestaff were (mainly the lady that was running the front of house). We will notgo back, and strongly recommend others avoid it. There is much better Korean food nearby and many other places I wouldrather give my money too.

Great food, run by a friendly Korean family. Especially recommend the beef rib soup and ginseng chicken soup. Side dishes and kimchi are delicious too. Definitely a must go for Korean food!

One of the less inspiring options at Northcote. Lukewarm service. Average quality food. Nothing tasted particularly fresh. Quite pricey. Better options nearby.

Ordered one bibimbab dish there. Raw food materials were fresh. But both taste and quality of side dishes could be better. Service was good.

boring interior however, their food is authentic and good 🙂 I used to go this restaurant often back in days. they have good fermented crab in soy sauce which goes well with rice. I revisited yesterday with my Chinese friend asked me where they can try itfermented soy base crab after watching Korean drama. so I took them and we also ordered soy bean paste soup which was thumps up!! their Korean marinated bbq is well priced and comes with really good quality side dishes. i’d definitely recommend this place for quick lunch or dinner also Northart gallery is just around the corner so you can see beautiful artworks after having meal here!

Authentic Korean restaurant. Ambience is typical of bibimbap cafes in Korea so it’s informal and a bit bland looking. Food was great though with generous portion sizes. We had dolsot bibimbap and I got the vegetarian option with no trouble. Good side dishes and great kimchi! Service was excellent and the waitress was very attentive.
