Actual rating: 3.5 stars.Nice food, good portion and reasonably price.We had tried some of their dishes. Nothing special but we like their nasi lemak (very tasty), mamak fried noodle and fried kuey teow.
I heard about this new Malaysian place in Northcote from a family friend and decided to check it out. We had to wait for a table at lunch time on Sunday, but it was well worth the wait. The chicken satay was not chargrilled but comes with rice cubes and cucumber and red onion so it does make an effort to be somewhat authentic.For my main, I ordered the Wat Tan Hor which was okay but not amazing. Its a nice alternative to all the fried dishes that we tend to get at Malaysian restaurants.The chicken laksa was surprisingly not that spicy. However, the Songket fried noodle had a bit of spice to it.Overall, Id be happy to come back here; the food was good, service was average but I remember the prices being pretty reasonable.
