I was charged $21.80 for a pizza base with a smidge of tomato paste and token handful of vegetables – even when I queried this, no correction was offered. Everything on the menu is overpriced, as are the drinks. You could go to a lovely bar in the central city or Takapuna for half the price of this joint. Most of the staff were decent, although I had an unfortunate run in with a particularly snide staff member. This place seems to be interested only in stepping up their prices and not their game – a poor tactic in an area spoilt for choice. You couldn’t pay me to go back. recoveringraw.com
