Best Steak and cheese pie ever tasted. Crust is perfect flaky and buttery good consistency overall. Filling is perfect also its what a pie should be like pure gravy like mixture no gellatin at all and the cuts of steak meat is perfect mini cut portions for the pie not to big and not to small. This bakery has got my thumbs upbeen coming here over two years now. Going again this morning when i finish work. Craving for one right now.
Regular joint when I need to pick up a quick bite/lunch. Make beautiful Vogel chicken sandwiches. Prices are not too bad either. Definitely a regular spot for me.
OB is the only bakery I have found that makes chicken Vogel sandwiches to my liking. They even make them on demand for me and my wife and I try to grab a couple whenever we are over in Onehunga. The staff are friendly and once they learn your name, never forget.Admittedly, the rest of their food is pretty standard small bakery fare, but the Vogel chicken sandwiches are an absolute winner. Just writing this review has me craving one now.
The sausage rolls from here are simply the best ! I order them for all my work morning teas and everyone asks where I get them from. The prices here are good and the place is always clean and tidy. The pies are pretty much the same as every other bakery in the area, and the cabinet sandwiches always look appealing although I have only ever had the chicken salad ones which are quite a generous filling. The slices have quite a thick pastry base and thin topping, but the price reflects the product. I have been coming here for the past 3 years at least, with no problems.
Firstly, i loved the roast beef sandwich i had here the first time, it was your average sandwich but somehow it just tasted better than ones I make at home. Their pies are pretty average, pastry is a bit dry and the filling/gravy for the steak and cheese pie is more thick than runny. I would not recommend this place at all because I bought a chicken and avocado sandwich from here after work on Saturday and literally, 2 hours into my second job, i felt sick, and had to go home because I started vomiting – yes, it gave me food poisoning. The chicken smelt a little weird but I thought it was just the way it was prepared, hence why I ate it anyway… nynb.blogspot.com
