when i lived in the area we were so happy a cafe opened around the corner. It had a different owner and name back then. I remember the food and coffee were excellent and was always full of people. Unfortunately that has all changed. The decor is no longer inviting, the food doesn’t look appetising and the coffee isn’t good. I had to go to the espresso bar across the road instead – who have seemed to have gained all the customers. It is such a shame. It would not take much to improve business and bring customers back.

I went to have lunch here for the first time with my brother. We ordered the $30 Salmon Supreme Combo. This was after they merged with Oranga Sushi Mini Bar next door. The sushi rice was very wet and sticky, so it was hard to chew. The miso was very salty (paste and water ratio was very off) and was served in glass cups! Definitely not something you want to pay for or experience.I told the staff about the rice and the miso. He said the rice was like that because they are using a new rice machine which is completely unacceptable. First, why would you serve bad rice to customers? Second, he just gave us a teapot full of hot water for miso. There was no way to dilute it because the miso cup was already full of miso soup…We ended up complaining because my brother and I just couldnt endure how bad it was. The staff was calm and friendly enough to give us a half refund since we ate some of it. Sadly, I will not be coming back to this place.
