We have friends who rave about this place. So far we’ve only had takeaway coffee here but Friday we decided to go for dinner. We walked in and noticed the indoor space was buzzing with people which is always a good time. We stood by the counter and watched as waitresses were rushing around. No one said ‘hi we’ll be with you in a moment’ or even looked at us. After being ignored for a few minutes we left and went elsewhere, being recognised goes a long way in customer service. Would have loved to have tried your menu!
What a pleasant first time at this restaurant which is located in the quieter part of Orewa. There was lots of close parking and great views over the reserve and the ocean.Garlic bread for starters, then we ordered two mains, pollo parmigiana and a very tender and tasty steak, both served with vegetables. Delicious desserts, creme brulee and affogato. A bottle of pinot gris from Marlborough excellent value and very drinkable. Waitresses understood their menu, were personable and friendly.Will definitely be back.

Just about the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. Cannot say one good thing about Faridas. Certainly not good value for money, no atmosphere whatsoever, staff complacent. Will not go again and will suggest to anyone not to bother going.
First time eating here last night with my husband and we were both super impressed. Firstly the wine prices and quality are incredibly reasonable with Man O’War sav being only $40 a bottle! The food was fantastic, very good portions and again great quality and obviously cooked by a chef who understands food! Been to so many places where they have non chefs cooking basic menu items. The pork belly was superb with a good crispy crackling, dishes were different and refreshing. We had bread as well which is home made on site and was fresh and delicious. My parents dined here the night before us and my father is a fussy eater but he could only rave about the food and service. The staff are friendly and 100% accommodating. We will visit again. Very lucky to have this place in Orewa.
I have been here twice for dinner and both times the food was amazing, along with the friendly and attentive service. I would definitely recommend this place for a lovely evening A+
We went to Faridas a few weeks ago for dinner and I havn’t stopped raving to my frineds about how delicious it was. It was absolutly mouth watering as well as being very well priced! From the fresh focaccia to the peppered lamb rump there was not a fault with our dishes. To top it off i got the chocolate mousse which was so light and delicate it left me wanting more. The staff were very attentive and service with a smile! We will definatly be back. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!
