  The plan was to go to New Garden but they were closed on Mondays, we were on the Chapel Rd strip so thought we’d try someone new. Spotted Ming Chef just a few doors down, Served the usual Chinese favs as well as assorted congee dishes. A few diners eating and customer waiting for their takeaways. Seemed ok but we approached with caution?Ordered from the specials board only to hear they had run out of duck and chicken? The woman behind the counter is quite rude to the customer before us, She was rude to us as well when we wanted to swap out bbq pork for roast pork? Was going to walk out but just wanted to get a meal. We settled on spares ribs with gravy on rice and the roast pork on rice which was $11.00 ea. I was about to pay for a can of soft drink but damn $4.00 for a can was a joke?We sat down and and the ladies tone has softened when she bought the glasses of tea and cutlery. The food soon followed, served by her husband, he was ever so polite and when he had taken over the counter he was polite and charming, much better people skills.The food was very good, The beef spare ribs were excellent, well seasoned and with the black pepper punching thru. So happy with the dish as there was plenty of gravy and ribs. The steamed cabbage leaves were good too. The roast pork was on a par with my usual roast pork eateries, roast pork tender and moist and again served with steamed cabbage leaves.Food is good, venue is clean. the service was not so good but I think we had caught the woman on a bad hair day? Her husband was the opposite lovely soft spoken guy
