I used to work here and I can tell you that the food is very fresh! They go shopping very often, 3-4 times within Monday-Friday to ensure they get to serve their salad fresh. Because it’s under the hospital, they have extra high standard for how they prepare their meals. It’s very clean and to be trusted. Coffee is on point. Price is cheap considering the quality of their food and the amount given. Great environment for those who wants to read a good book and enjoy their cup of coffee or those who wants to binge study before their finals!
I’ve driven past this cafe multiple times but have never felt the urge to visit. However, today a work colleague suggested it for lunch. The cafe is on the smaller side but is set out nicely so if does not feel congested. It is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The menu has lots of options and there’s also a wide cabinet variety. the staff are lovely and the service is super quick – can’t fault anything there. I had the mushroom and chicken filo which was a bit pricey at $9.20 but it was delicious! I just wish it came with a larger serving of salad for that price. Also, a chutney or some other accompaniment would have been nice too. Overall, nice place to dine and I’d definitely come here often!
I had wanted to come here for a while, but it’s impossible to get parking. Much of it is reserved for the hospital (fair enough) and with no street parking, the only option is in the muddy field next door. I’m sure they’d have more custom if they had parking.Today I had brunch – bacon & eggs & a latte. The coffee was well made. Bacon not crispy, but was well cooked & had a delicious flavour – not too smoky. Eggs were also well poached & the bread they use was perfect for mopping up the yoke. The service was average – not overly friendly either at the counter or when delivering the coffee (a smile & small talk goes a long way in a local cafe to ensure repeat custom). The kitchen staff who delivered the meals were better.
