Really love there potatoes,been coming here weekly for 2 1/2yrs but tonight I was bitterly disappointed. I tolerate the husband when he serves as his wife has gr8 personality and very friendly. However he is always in a rush and doesnt listen to what is being said. Tonight wasn’t the 1st time my meals were wrong, but tonight was the 1st time I told his wife he doesnt listen. I really regret spending $33 in here tonight as the 3 meals I ordered was a disaster when I got home. Should of been 2 beef with potatoes,peas and 1 with gravy 1 without. 1 should of been lamb with mint sauce potatoes,peas and gravy…. no lamb all beef and one had carrots, kumara and pumpkin. Which was obviously only corrected on 2 meals and not 3, as the husbands rush when I was ordering, he didnt hear me say all 3 just potatoes,peas and gravy on 1 beef and lamb. Sorry meals were not to the standard we’ve had before. Really really disappointed,will give it a miss for a while now.

So I asked him again to repeat it because I couldn’t understand, he then started getting angry. Glad thing I didn’t order anything from there because just looking at their foods, it looked really dry and no flavours. So won’t be going back in there ever again.
Unfortunately customer service are really bad, both the lady and the guy behind the counter, quite rude and no manner in dealing with customers, gravy is bland for my taste, not coming back there again.
Good portion size, but bland the whole way through except way too salty. Meat overcooked, gravy seemed watered down then oversalted to compensate, Potatoes missing additional seasoning.Seems that the cooking is at a bare minimum here.
It’s a 5 for the portion size. Maybe a 2.75 for the food. I shouldn’t be having pork lunches, or pork dinners for that matter. But this place is ok. I found the meat cooked to my liking. Good spuds. Good gravy. Ok price. If you were lost in the desert you’d be happy of a Roast Hut meal and a cool beverage from their fridge.
With great customer service, its a pity that the food does not keep to the same standard.The crackling is dry and very salty, almost as if its been fried and not naturally roasted.Gravy is spot on and great accompliament to the meat. The meat has often been dry unfortunately, and veges are inconsistent, between not cooked through or too mushy..Was a pity as we love the food in this area..
