Called in here on Friday 26 Jan 2018 on my way to the ferry, just wanted some hot chips, bit caotic in here (could do with a ticket system) as I was waiting outside as was so hot inside & he didn’t evan call out when my order was ready. Good amount of tasty n chrispy chips but to much salt. Very popular with the Islanders. Like the outdoor seating nice place to eat n watch the locals go by.
Expectations for dinner were low – we needed food, any food, before bunkering in our air bnb for the evening to avoid the oncoming rain. This place looked like a cheap, but fairly charming (if you’re into your old school kitsch) take away joint and we thought we would give it a shot. The place sells burgers, fish and chips and a pretty good selection of Chinese style dishes, and you can watch as they cook. We got the chicken and veggies in curry with extra veggies, with fried rice, to share between two. The servings were huge and we were pleasantly surprised with the veggies and chicken (we may have verged on raving about it). The sauce was flavoursome and not too oily, and the extra veggies consisted of mainly Broccoli, which is usually known as The Best Vegetable. The fried rice was a notch above your basic takeaway fried rice – not too oily and full of delicious chucks of egg and veg. We ate it across the road on a picnic bench, listening to the comforting sounds of RSL happy hour. Mega value for money & would totally go back if I lived locally.

They’re always there for us in need of some scrummy tucker, good portions and price. Sing Tao have the hardest workers to provide a nice meal

If it’s the good ole’ kiwi chinese takeaways you are after then search no further!Service and food is consistantly reliable. Friendly service, affordable price and lots for your money.excellent place to feed the troops, especially late on a weeknight after practice. 🙂
