A bakery that sells island food? Well nothing can go wrong here, we ended up buying 4 Pork Buns and 12 Pancake Balls. Doesn’t get anymore islander than that huh? Well something unexpected but proud that I brought something of my culture from a bakery that sells mainly European style food. The service was great, the people who served me were really kind and I managed to complemented about the effort of making island food. It’s hard for one culture to make food from another culture, because there are certain techniques, methods and respectability that make the food culturally original and unique. Me as a Samoan, I’m glad many cultures are making the recipes that we create. It really promotes our culture out there in this diverse suburb.Upon going inside, it has the original bakery layout. One side you have the drinks fridge and dining area as well as the other side you have the food area.
Really liked their fried chicken. Crunchy coating, not too salty. The meat was tender and not at all dry. They sell banana ball panekeke which are great freshly made. They over salt their chips a bit too much for my liking so if you want a moderate amount of salt you will have to state so.
