Came here one time with my parents after doing a bit of shopping in the area. I went to try out their Butter Chicken, I must say it was kind pricey but worth it. Like always what I do with butter chickens is mixing the sauce with the rice so it’s all flavourful. The service was 50/50 pretty average I must say. Just the ordinary greeting and what to order. managed to get my order on the spot, which I guess was pretty good.Well can’t really describe the place since that it’s in a food court. But when I went to make my order I had a little peep in the background and it seems pretty tidy in the kitchen. The layout is pretty original especially with the signage as well.
Have had a few curry’s here before and have been algood. Not sure if they have changed owners or chefs? But this instance Butter chicken was flavourless and tastes watered down. And chicken was dry. Tasted like a cheap jar of curry you buy at the supermarket for $3 Defiantly not worth the $12 I payed. Will not be back………..
Felt like curry tonight, since it was a bit cold and rainy out, so I decided to go South and get some curry from R’s @ the Asian Foodcourt in Otahuhu. This place just never misses. I always buy a fresh roti and opt for two or 3 curries w. rice. W.out a roti, the meal’s only $10. An absolute steal!Tonight I chose a mix of the chicken masala and chicken korma. Fantastic!
Good meaty curries. The dry chilli chicken is great and I enjoy most of their other standard chicken curry flavours. I find the vindaloo a bit strange (very bright red). The spiciness is just right most of the time. The thali is a good option if you’re hungry. Very satisfying food and you don’t have to wait long at this store despite it being part of a very busy food court.
