So so. Got told when booking we couldnt book at 12 as they were busy, instead we had to book at 11:45??? At best the restaurant was 1/3 full on arrival. Steak was perfectly cooked. The fries were bland. Ever heard of Agria? Service wasnt good but the cashier was very careful to remind each and everyone of us of the option for extra tipping with eftpos. Please read the instructions, green for yes yellow for no. Yellows all round. Stop asking for tips in New Zealand. And if you desire one make sure you go over and above the barest minimum service.
Deleted my +ve review from a few years back! I understand it has new owners so a new review was due. The place is still clean, modern and tidy. Came in for lunch and seated ourselves. Ordered a beer and a cocktail to start. Took over 15mins for the drinks to arrive. Ordered the squid with fries and duck breast salad. The duck breast was dry and the dressing in the salad did not compliment the duck. the fries tasted like they’d been reheated. We waited for one and half hours for two easy to cook dishes, we weren’t happy. The place was not full and it looked like a skeleton crew was in operation? I’d eaten lunch and dinner here many a time before under the old regime. Seems like the new owners have come in with a new broom. Here’s hoping it will improve!
