Went in to buy a spinach quiche and saw that it was overly cooked, burnt and looked off, I asked the employee there, are you seriously selling that quiche, it looks rotten, he looked at it and laughed and as soon as I turned to the drink he than took the quiche out, I used to always doubt this bakery as it had a bad hygiene rating on the local papers, I thought that’s all changed, seeing this now dugusts me and never want to come back here.
Not bad. One time I ordered a hot chocolate and a large bug was dead in it and I never went back. I love this place but sorry, I’m haunted by the texture of that bug. It’s a great place though.
I remember the first time I cam here with dad to get this car fixed at one of the mechanics in the area, we stopped here for breakfast and what I meant by breakfast, I actually meant some heavy food to last us the whole day or until lunch. Either way we are always hungry hahaha. We both ended up getting the Snak Pak which had some fresh chips and chicken the steam from the chicken just as you take the first bite, it’s a true bliss.Since it’s a bakery the service was pretty ordinary in terms of the greeting and waiting time which was not as long as I expected.It has the traditional bakery layout inside, with a spacious middle. I guess just to have more space in moving around and seeing what’s on offer or suppliers coming in with bulk orders made my the bakery. Overall a good place for my very first review in Panmure.
IV been comming to Golden steak bakery on and off for quite a few years now, A family run business with basic bakery products which are produced fresh on a daily basis.. IV been here a few more time’s recently as I just work around the corner ,, there’s a fair few bakeries in this. Area to choose from and IV try most of them at some time ,but I do prefer this one for its service and cleanness and most of all the pies are tasty here…
Best in panmure …. I would recommend this to everyone to come and try ,pies was very nice , friendly service , clean and tidy store , cost cheaper compare to other shop.
